WesTest

  We have only met together once this week because of the WesTest.  I am proud of the work you have been able to accomplish.  With the end of school and all the activities, we will be limited in what we are able to complete.  You have completed more than we thought you would and you have stayed with the task even with the difficulities, such as the computers shutting down, partner's absent, etc.  I wish we could have finished your games, because you had great ideas and your focus on detail was inspiring.

Video Games

I must admit that playing video games is not one of my favorite things to do in the world.  I do like to play PacMan and Tetris but I become easily bored and want to do something else.  When things are happening fast on the game board, I become confused as to what to do.   I have a game on my phone that I enjoy playing called Brick Breaker.  I find that enjoy playing the game in the car, when someone else is driving, or sitting in the Dr's office.  I have even been known to play it a time or two in church.  (Don't tell my Pastor!!)  If I have free time, I would like to do something besides playing a video game.  I will be waiting to hear about your favorite game.

Paper Prototypes

 We are back in school after a rainy Spring Break.  We have a few days left of school and I am excited about your games.  I am anxious to see your video about your game and the creative ideas.  You all have been great as I have learned with you.  You have tried all I have asked and have been patient as we have encountered difficulties.  I wish we could have started at the beginning of the year so you could have completed your game on Flash.  Keep up the good work as we finish out this year.

What is next?

I know you thought we would never get to this point but you are ready to start designing your game.  The mimi game was trying but you all stayed with it.  I am proud of you not giving up.  The codes we used are the ones you will need for your game.  This should be a fun week before we go on Spring Break.  Keep up the good Globaloria work.

Spring

The weather is beautiful and it will be easy to get spring fever. We have had some set backs with the mini game and getting it all to work. This is real life. We think we have things all figured out and that things should run smoothly and then life happens. Thanks for keeping with it until your mini game works and helping others with their mini game. We are almost ready to start your paper demo and I am excited to see what you will design.

Mini Game

The mini game has caused us some headaches as we look for mistakes. I can not figure out why it does not work when all the codes are correct. When I did this same activity at training, the instructors told us we would get better at the code and recognizing what is wrong. Looking at so many of yours, I have found this to be true. We need to watch using ( for { and so forth. Keep up the good work.

Blogging

I have spent my evening reading blogs and I do not understand why this is so hard. Your blog this week was to deal with the games you played and what you thought about them (both the good and the bad). Your blogs will be graded on content, not just that you blogged. We need to get our thoughts together and write more than one sentence. I expect more next week.
